TeamCey

Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using TeamCey. The short version: you own your data, pricing is transparent and per employee, and you're responsible for reviewing statutory filings before submission.

Last updated: July 4, 2026

The service

TeamCey provides multi-tenant HR and payroll software for businesses operating in Sri Lanka, including payroll with EPF, ETF and APIT calculations, attendance, leave management, reporting, and an employee self-service portal. By creating a workspace or accepting an invitation to one, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and workspaces

  • The person who creates a workspace becomes its HR administrator and is responsible for the data entered into it.
  • You must provide accurate company and statutory registration details; payslips and statutory exports are generated from what you enter.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Employee portal accounts are created by invitation from the workspace administrator.

Subscriptions, trials and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly in Sri Lankan Rupees at a per-employee rate, based on your package's employee capacity.
  • Starter and Team packages include a free trial (currently 60 days). You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
  • The Scale package is billed from signup via Stripe Checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Failed payments may result in restricted access after a grace period.
  • You can cancel anytime from billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Your data

  • Your company owns the data in its workspace. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You can export payroll, attendance, and report data at any time while your subscription is active.
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store your employees' personal data in TeamCey.

Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to access other tenants' data or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission.
  • Don't use the service to store unlawful content or to send spam.
  • Don't resell or white-label the service without a separate agreement.

Compliance disclaimer

TeamCey automates statutory calculations (EPF, ETF, APIT) using current published rules and keeps them updated over time. However, filings remain your company's legal responsibility. Always review generated schedules and exports before submission, and consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your business.

Availability and support

We work to keep TeamCey available and performant, with maintenance windows announced when practical. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability. Support is provided through the contact page.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeamCey's aggregate liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including penalties arising from late or inaccurate statutory filings where the underlying data or review was your responsibility.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate workspaces that violate these terms or create risk for other tenants, with notice where reasonably possible. Export your data before deleting a workspace.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the revision date above; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
